Maths

POSITIVE EXPONENTS
We are going to talk about powers. A power of a number lets you know how many times a number is going to multiplicate.

You can writed it as a small number on the right and above the base number.
For example: 52 = 5 × 5 = 25 (Also known as exponent)

So, 52 will be named as "five to the power two" or "five to the second power" or simply "five squared".

Let's go with another example:

2= 2x2x2 =8

So, 23 could be called "two to the power theree", "two to the third  power" or simply "two cubed"

NEGATIVE EXPONENTS

A negative exponent shows you how to many times you have to divide.

PD For example: 10 raised to -1 = 1/10= 0,1
